Centre of Marketing & Entrepreneurship Management (CMEM)

CMEM PTSB was established in August 2014. The focus of this center is related to management aspects of the two main units; Marketing and Entrepreneurship Unit at PolytechnicTuanku Sultanah Bahiyah (PTSB).
 
Introduction of Marketing Unit
The objective of this center is to spread the information that PTSB is well equipped with expertise in engineering and commerce and is willing to be a consultant to the external agencies and the communities.
 
Function / Role of Marketing Unit
Key dimensions of the above can be realized through the methods below:
  • Manage consultation affairs with interested external agencies
  • To disseminate the products and the expertise available in PTSB with the help of ICT Unit
  • Implement collaborative networks with the community /  local and international industries 
  • Designing and implementing training programs / trips for professional development
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct research and innovation
  • Provides budget for the activities to be carried out
  • Publishing printed materials such as prospectuses, brochures, and other materials related with PTSB products
Introduction of Entrepreneurship Unit
Entrepreneurship Unit acts as the prime mover in increasing the level of innovation, creativity and the competitiveness of a country. It has been recognized as a catalyst for economic development in Malaysia. In order to objectify the mission and vision of Entrepreneurship Development Policy Institute Higher Education, Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah has established Entrepreneurship Unit with main objective focused on giving students the opportunity to familiarize in the business world. Programs organized by the Entrepreneurship Unit is aimed at providing basic exposure to the students so that more successful entrepreneurs will be produced among polytechnic graduates. Therefore, one of the main reason of this unit is that it can attract students to become a successful entrepreneur.
 
Function / Role of  Entrepreneurship Unit
Management of this unit is as follows:
  • To educate and expose students with the knowledge of entrepreneurship skills
  • Managing entrepreneurial activities
  • Implement collaboration with the community / local and international industries
  • Designing and implementing training programs / trips for professional development
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct research and innovation
  • Provides budget for the activities to be carried out
  • Publishing the reports required by the concern parties
  • Promote entrepreneurs products with the help of ICT Unit
